As a Director of many rehabs, I’ve seen what works and doesn’t work in the addiction world. I have applied this knowledge to what I now offer in Innercare Services International Inc.
As a skilled Psychotherapist I have witnessed the limits of counseling. The 1 on 1 psychotherapy encounter is unparalleled in its healing ability.
The ‘Retreat’ model I use was born out of my former monastic life, it adds considerable weight to what I learnt and rejected in the rehab world. Meditation is key to healing, as it is a most ancient therapeutic tool. It requires a high degree of skill to sit with others and effect change in them. My decade and a half as a monk has given me the ability to do this.
Also, the ‘God issue’ is central to the change process, but very poorly represented in the 12-Step/Rehab world, a deeply sensitive issue that requires real spiritual skills, normally acquired thru formal training.

As a Monk, the long hours spent in cold dark monasteries, bent over silent….being emptied and tested, have forged in me a resilient, and very sensitive person. All my efforts as a skilled addictions psychotherapist, and trauma specialist, are combined with these gifts, allowing me to truly help people; this is borne out of a realization I was meant to do this work!
I can truly sense the pain of another; I see into their deepest anguish, as though it were an X-ray image. Seeing Dante like images of the inner 'hell' of the addicted person, allows me to witness the darkness that has shrouded clients and their families. I offer a spiritual process that severs the bonds of the old days…decades of pain broken, finally undone.
